Couples sessions are less structured than a wedding day, which means there’s more room to move. We walk, we pause, we follow what feels natural.
I’ll give you enough direction to feel comfortable and grounded, then step back and let the two of you take over.

My approach with couples is the same as on a wedding day, equal parts observation and direction.
I’m not a fly on the wall, and I’m not here to pose you through a sequence of shots. I’m somewhere in between, paying attention to how you move together, how the city feels around you, and where a small prompt can bring everything into place.
We might walk through your neighborhood, stop somewhere that matters to you, or follow the light as it shifts through the city. The structure is loose, but the attention is not.
The goal isn’t to create a set of images. It’s to create something that feels like a moment you were actually inside of, not something you performed for.
Most couples start out thinking they’re awkward in front of a camera. What usually happens is the opposite. Once things settle, it stops feeling like a shoot and starts feeling like time together.
That’s where the photographs come from.
