Expat wedding in The Hague | Expat bruiloft in Den Haag | Ekaterina & Milos

I had a real strange year with my wedding season in 2020. Covid-19 had a big impact on my weddings and all Destination Weddings have been postponed. Luckily there are still couples who are brave enough to get married during this Corona pandemic.

As is for these lovely expats from Russia and Serbia living in The Hague. Although it was just this small wedding, they were dressed for a big day!

We wanted to do the photoshoot before the ceremony in the old city center of The Hague, but the weather wasn’t that good that day. Last minute we decided to wait for later that week with the hope the weather will be better. So only the little ceremony at the Groenmarkt old Town Hall. Small, intimate, a few best friends and a beautiful town hall.. perfect!

And I’m so happy we decided to postpone the photoshoot to a better moment because a few days later it was perfect! So they got dressed up again, brought their motorbike, had a perfect golden hour, did this beautiful walk through the center of The Hague, made some amazing pictures and had some lovely conversations. One word; Perfect!

Het is een heel gek jaar geweest in 2020. Covid-19 heeft veel impact gehad op mijn trouw seizoen en vele buitenlandse bruiloften werden gecanceld en uitgesteld. Gelukkig zijn er nog altijd koppels die het wel aandurven om te trouwen in deze gekke Corona tijd.

Dit lieve expat koppel afkomstig uit Rusland en Servië maar woonachtig in Den Haag. Ook al was het een mini-bruiloft, ze waren gekleed voor een grote!

Helaas op de trouwdag was het weer niet zo best, dus hebben we last minute besloten om de fotoshoot op een later moment te plannen. Als je foto’s maakt in het centrum van Den Haag dan wil je ook wel dat het droog is. Dus bleef het die dag bij enkel de kleine ceremonie op het oude stadhuis; de Groenmarkt. Het was klein, intiem, hun beste vrienden en een prachtig stadhuis… het was mooi!

Helemaal gelukkig werd ik van de fotoshoot die we hadden uitgesteld. Een paar dagen na de bruiloft hadden we een perfecte dag voor een shoot! Ze hesen zich weer in hun trouwpak en trouwjurk, namen hun motor mee, er was een fantastische gouden uur, we hadden een heerlijke wandeling, prachtige foto’s geschoten en heerlijke gesprekken. Dit was top!
